Bernard and Alexandre Moreau own and manage a 9 hectare estate in the famous Chassagne-Montrachet with a total of eleven wines (eight white and three red). The vinification here is classic, all wines are aged in oak casks. Clearance and filtering is done as little as possible. Elegance and refinement are of paramount importance here. Moreau wines have undergone so much progress in quality in recent years that they are now counted among the top of the famous village of Chassagne-Montrachet.
As far as that progress is concerned, Moreau doesn't have many secrets. His friendship with Michel Colin-Deléger, one of the absolute stars there and the accession of his son Alexandre, contributed greatly to the quality improvement. In La Revue du Vin de France and The Vine (Clive Coates), Moreau's wines have received excellent reviews.
